Mission Statement

St. Teresa Preschool’s mission is to offer Catholic faith formation and a quality child-centered education within an environment conducive to spiritual, academic, social, and physical development.

Goals

We will achieve our mission through striving to meet these goals:

Provide a safe, caring, joyful preschool environment.

Emphasize our Catholic faith and infuse Gospel values throughout the curriculum.

Utilize the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Faith Formation Scope and Sequence as our religious education guide.

Utilize the Indiana Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards as our academic guide.

Allow for play that is child-centered as well as purposeful.

Offer a wide variety of educational experiences and opportunities for learning through exploration.

Provide for varied skill levels of learners and measure individual progress through authentic assessment.

Encourage positive social development and appropriate social interaction.

Encourage development of age-appropriate life-skills.

Foster positive teacher-student-parent communication and relationships.

St. Teresa Preschool's classes are full for 2010-11, with a low student to teacher ratio of 7 to 1.  We are ready for a year of fun and learning.  We enjoy weekly Mass geared just to the preschoolers.  We are going on a fieldtrip, and visitors to our school include firefighters, veterans, a tumbling teacher, LA Sweets, and Bob the Bus.

Construction has begun on a new gym and new preschool classrooms.  Open enrollment for 2011-12 will begin March 1, 2011.
